Project Management Institute Educational Foundation and Junior Achievement
PMIEF is part of PMI Global. They focus on education programming related to project based learning and have partnered with Junior Achievement. The local JA chapter has reached out to seek volunteers in support of their upcoming fall speaker series (on Project Management). It is designed for 7-12th graders). Event is normally in-classroom format but will shift to virtual as needed. Any PMI Nashville chapter members who would like to become a speaker this fall, can earn PDUs for “Giving Back”
Through collaboration with PMI Education Foundation, Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee (JA) is preparing for the upcoming school year (2020-2021) to provide a lessons for students in Grades 7-12. JA prepares and inspires young people to become financially literate, career ready, and entrepreneurially minded by connecting business professionals with educators across the Nashville area. These are normally in-classroom events, but should social distancing still be in effect, these sessions can be transitioned to an on-line virtual platform.

Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF) Scholarships for Professional Development
PMIEF is offering Professional Development Scholarships to PMI Chapter Members who apply by 7/1/20 and meet the criteria. The PMI Educational Foundation has established scholarships to help assist professional development for project managers who have demonstrated excellence in their field. The scholarships will be awarded based on work experience, volunteer activities, and the expected level of potential benefits from the application of the learning in the applicant’s professional and/or volunteer roles.
