About the Mentorship Program:
The Project Management Institute (PMI) Nashville Chapter’s object is to offer member mentees an opportunity to develop and formalize a professional one-on-one relationship with a qualified PMI professional (mentors).The PMI Mentor Program will assist mentees in receiving project management guidance, gaining valuable project knowledge, increasing project management career opportunities, and developing project management techniques.
The PMI Mentor Program will assist mentors in contributing to the PMI professional development of the mentees and add value to PMI Chapter and National Membership. Mentors will have the opportunity to share industry knowledge and expertise with mentee.
Earn up to 5 PDU's per year as a mentor.

Benefits of the Mentorship Program:

The PMI Nashville Chapter benefits from the mentorship program by offering members additional opportunities to learn, encouraging alternatives to networking, sponsoring educational and training projects, and adding value to chapter memberships.
The PMI mentees benefit by gaining additional experience in project management professional development, exploring the project management world through interaction with a qualified professional, and gaining hands-on experience through a practitioner’s perspective. The program partnership should assist in determining the mentee’s developmental needs, establishing goals within the profession, and establishing a meaningful professional relationship with mentor.
The PMI mentors benefit by contributing to the professional development of an individual, sharing experience while gaining new perspectives, assisting others in career development, and further serving the chapter and profession.

Mentorship Program Requirements:
  • Mentees and mentors must be active chapter members; participating and supporting PMI chapter and national missions
  • Mentees and mentors must actively support chapter events
  • Mentee and mentors must be current on membership and due fees
  • Mentees and mentors must complete application forms
  • Mentees and mentors must be willing to commit to the PMI Mentor Program for a specified period (six months)
