Lateral Leadership – Influencing across boundaries to make things happen
December 13, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
To be an effective project manager today you have to do more than simply manage your projects efficiently. Recent research has shown that the best leaders in collaborative environments are adept at providing leadership across organizational boundaries and influencing peers, partners, and customers to move from ideas to reality. Yet many project managers feel that they lack the authority or skill set to effectively influence beyond their immediate project team. In this session, technology executive Andrew Kerr will discuss how different influence styles help leaders to understand their own unique influence style and appropriately match it to the situation for maximum effectiveness.
