About this event:
Join us for a discussion of some exciting new changes at the PMI Nashville Board! We’ve changed the structure of the positions on our board, and we’ve also updated the election process for getting on to the board to be more transparent to our members. Now, anyone who is interested can submit their intent/nomination to our Elections Committee for ballot consideration. This means that you may see multiple options on your Chapter Elections Ballot this fall instead of just voting yes/no on a single pre-determined slate of board candidates. Your vote as a member is more important than ever!
Transparency and engagement are important to both our members and volunteers, and we aim to provide everything you need to know about who is on the board, what responsibilities each board position is accountable for, and what positions will be up for elections later this fall. The deadline for submitting your nomination intent to the board is September 4, so this is a great opportunity to learn more and get involved.
We will have Q&A as well, so if you have ever considered volunteering for PMI Nashville, this is a great opportunity to learn more on how to get involved. Volunteers get hour-for-hour PDU credits. For every 1 hour volunteered at PMI Nashville, you can claim 1 hour in PDUs towards certification renewal (category limits may apply). Volunteers must be current PMI Nashville Chapter members in good standing.
This event will focus on an overview of the board positions and elections process. At a later date, we will have a candidate forum/panel event for you to get to know the people who will be on the ballot.
Joining us will be:
David Benneyworth – President PMI Nashville
Shannon Alpert – VP Administration/Election Committee PMI Nashville
Elise Hudson – President-Elect PMI Nashville
