Aegis Sciences – Project Manager – Full Time

The Project Manager position is responsible for managing, directing, and overseeing projects that directly align with the strategic priorities of Aegis Sciences Corporation and the Project Management Office (PMO).

The Project Manager reports directly to the Director, Project Management Organization, and will be a key influence in building and growing the PMO and should have a strong understanding of business strategy and aligning project portfolios with corporate goals. The Project Manager works independently and exhibits a high degree of initiative in resolving problems encountered and developing recommended solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Management:
– Primary responsibility is to proactively lead and manage all aspects of assigned projects, including awareness of scope, time, and cost inter-dependencies.

– Experience working through full project life cycle

– Comfortable working in flexible project environment and ability to design/ modify project life cycle based upon to the specific needs of a project

– Willing and able to take a hands on approach with a project often required

– Keen attention to risk and issue management

– Experience working in a dynamic and growing Project Management Office

– Provides leadership to assigned project team

Business Analysis:
– Elicit, collect, analyze and manage project’s business requirements; lead and facilitate ongoing prioritization and manage through effective change control processes

– Lead and facilitate ongoing requirements prioritization

– Manage changes to baseline requirements through effective and appropriate application of change control processes and tools

Process Improvement:
– Ability and willingness to efficiently and effectively learn new areas and processes, and apply that knowledge through the lens of an expert to project requirements

Consultative Services:
– Build relationships with Team Members throughout the company

– Ability to analyze a new business process and analytically provide feedback and suggestions for improvement

– Proven meeting facilitator with explicit skills leading productive meetings

Continuous Growth/Learning:
– Provide educational training sessions to Team Members

– Identify weaknesses and seek out opportunities for improvement

– Experience mentoring, motivating, and leading Team Members

– Proactive approach to creating project management tools and techniques to fit a project need

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
– Participate in process improvements, including process definition, measurement analysis, and implementation of controls

– Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals

– Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill

– Other duties as required and assigned

Successful Candidates Must Possess:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field required

– Minimum of three (3) years of Project Management experience required

– PMP certification strongly preferred

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills

– Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio

– Experience in Toggl and Jira preferred

– Track record of demonstrating continuous improvement in personal and organizational domains

– Proven meeting facilitator with explicit skills leading productive meetings

– Ability to work independently and handle multiple business assignments concurrently

– Ability to break down business processes into complex workflow/business process maps

– Display effective brainstorming prowess and creativity

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with all levels

– Ability to think analytically

– Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
