naviHealth: Strategic Program Manager

The Strategic Program Manager is responsible for planning and managing internal and external customer-facing initiatives, programs, and projects. Key capabilities include strategic consultation, critical thinking, thought-leader collaboration, program and project management on critical enterprise initiatives. The Strategic Program Manager monitors activities and deliverables to track progress against the schedule, resolve risks/issues, manage changes, and successfully delivers quality project requirements on-time. Strategic Program Manager manages complex enterprise projects that consists of multiple workstreams and various resources. The Strategic Program Manager may be responsible for managing and creating budgets for their projects. The Strategic Program Manager will have exceptional skills in the following: communication, presentation, time management, problem solving, relationship-building, and cross-team collaboration. This position works closely with other naviHealth departments to ensure the project is aligned with business needs and acts as a central information source for each project.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Gain understanding of the naviHealth business model and processes
• Provide consultation and critical thought-leader collaboration with key stakeholders
• Provide strategic leadership on key enterprise initiatives
• Create and manage thorough project plans, deliver project deliverables, and meet project objectives
• Plan and communicate how the project will be managed including risk/issue management, change control, and communication
• Create and manage thorough project budgets within targets
• Ensure projects meet business needs and that the project team and stakeholders understand the project deliverables, value, scope, and timeline
• Engage the project team in the development of project schedules based on properly defined scope, project deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
• Manage Risk Management plan to identify, document, define mitigation plans, track, escalate and resolve project risks, issues, barriers, and dependencies
• Manage change requests and modifications to the project plan
• Perform in a consultative role to provide options for business owners to respond to major changes and risks
• Assure deliverables are reviewed and quality is achieved as planned
• Facilitate regular status meetings and communicate project progress to all communication channels
• Identify process improvements, collaborate with stakeholders on resolutions, and implement solutions
• Proactively communicate information needed by team members to complete their tasks and with naviHealth stakeholders that play a role in the project
• Communicate project status and issues to executive stakeholders
• Demonstrate proficiency in tactfully communicating with all levels of customer leadership
• Be a trusted advisor to Executive Management on project priorities and mitigations
• Demonstrate project management excellence and mentor junior project managers
• Travel as business needs require

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 5+ years of project management experience
• Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred, but not required
• Implementations and/or other customer-facing projects experience a plus
• MS Project proficiency required
• Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
• Excellent written and verbal communication, professional writing, and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, other departments, and customers
• Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment and remain appropriately detail-oriented
• Demonstrated customer service and organizational skills
• Independent thinker and ability to work autonomously
