Project Manager – Data Blue, LLC

Data Blue is searching for a Project Manager to be a part of our Technical Services team. The Project Manager is directly and/or indirectly accountable for activities associated with multiple projects including, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality. The individual will proactively drive projects for successful completion. Candidates are eager to learn, customer focused, an effective communicator, self-initiating and can perform tasks without direct oversight.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple, concurrent projects of varying complexity and duration. Typical projects consist of networking, converged/hyper-converged infrastructure, virtualization, disaster recovery, and end-user computing,
  • Owns and drives the project effort required for successful delivery
  • Aligns project effort in accordance with: approved scope defined by Statements of Work (SOWs), prescribed technological platform architecture standards, and Data Blue’s overall delivery strategy and policies
  • Works with the resource manager for project resourcing; works directly with customer and engineering to determine project scheduling
  • Facilitates broad understanding of project expectations, requirements, scope, schedule, risks/issues, and work remaining
  • Manages the project delivery and the project implementation activities using structured methods and techniques in accordance with PMO practices
  • Guides, monitors, and tracks project progress according to planned project deliverables.
  • Maintains risk/issues log, mitigates risk, and drives issues to resolution
  • Provides timely and accurate project statuses and project health in accordance with PMO guidelines
  • Develops and coordinates the project schedule, team members’ roles/responsibilities, scope of work; oversees the project budget

Qualifications/ Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Systems or related field. Unique education, specialized experience, skills, knowledge, training or certification may be substituted for education
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences; including presentation of data, answering questions, and listening to concerns
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships at all levels
  • Strong consultative, negotiation, persuasion, and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of virtualization, network, security and storage technologies.
  • VAR or Consulting experience is a plus
