Marketing in Project Management – Durval Jacintho

Marketing is one of the most studied and analyzed fields of knowledge in the corporate world;  therefore, its techniques and tools should be considered and applied to the environment of project management. This presentation correlates marketing tools and activities with project management, based on a detailed study of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide). It analyzes the main concepts of marketing in the phases of a project or program, the key stakeholders and elements of marketing in a project, the responsibilities of the project manager to actively carry out the marketing of the project and advertise its impact within the organization and the participation and contribution of the Marketing area in this.
Also the presentation looks at examples of the positive use of marketing in projects of public knowledge.

Durval Carvalho Avila Jacintho, PMP, MSc, MBA holds a graduate degree in Electronics Engineering and an M.Sc. degree in Computation and Industrial Automation from Campinas University in Brazil, and an MBA from ISE – Instituto Superior da Empresa and FGV – Fundação Getulio Vargas. He has 28 years of experience in the telecommunication market and project management in the Latin America. He currently is VP of Customer Engineering & PMO of Level 3 Latam.
