Have you ever considered volunteering for PMI? What, are the benefits of volunteering with the Nashville PMI Chapter? If this applies to you, we are looking for passionate and committed members who want to find a way to give back to the profession and its members. Volunteers may also earn PDUs for their participation! This will be a recurring event where we talk about the benefits for volunteering, your top three areas of interest for volunteering, current positions that are open, event opportunities, etc.
Another benefit to consider – volunteering for the Nashville PMI Chapter always provides the opportunity for networking with other PM Professionals in the local area.

About the Presenter: James Mitchell received an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Tennessee and has a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee Space Institute. He has been a project manager for over 25 years. James started his career as a project manager at Arnold Engineering Development Center with the Department of Technology, and has worked as a Program Manager at GE Information Services, a Sr. PM with Central Parking Corporate Office, HCA, Comdata, Vanderbilt, and now CAT Ins. Additionally, James has been a Scrum Master for Agile projects since 2010.
James has been a member of PMI Nashville since 1997 and has served on the Board of Directors in the past as VP of Program, VP of Education, and the VP of Newsletter. He is currently serving as the VP of Membership.”
