PMI Nashville May 2022 Webinar – Projects, Customers and Virtual Collaboration, Come Experience How Miro Works!

May 24 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Summary of Event:

Not sure what virtual whiteboards are, or what the fuss is about remote collaboration?  Join us for this interactive session to learn what it is and its implications for organizations, project managers, business analysts, and their teams.

In this 90-minute interactive session, we will look at both the technology and the practices that have recently developed. We will discuss:

  • The considerations for organizations—what are key questions they should be asking themselves as they explore new practices and technology
  • Implications for teams—what are some best practices that operational and project teams can use to leverage the technology
  • Opportunities that can be leveraged to coordinate projects and gather customer requirements
  • Resources to help you get started using Miro, an online collaborative whiteboard platform

Our discussion will be supplemented by some interactive activities with the technology and give you the opportunity to interact and experience both the strengths and the limitations. We’ll understand some different project best practices in the areas of retrospectives, coordination activities from Kanban boards to task management system integrations (such as Jira), and walk through a case study on validating business requirements with a client.

Event Objective

Attendees will be exposed to:

  • Some of the current thinking and considerations related to collaborative technology
  • Hands on experience as we try out the technology
  • The basic techniques and the advanced options available for Project Managers and Business Analysts through this technology
  • Resources to help you get started using Miro, an online collaborative whiteboard platform

About the Presenter:    Annie MacLeod has a real passion for ensuring that her clients are successful, both personally and professionally. She began her project management career in the tech sector and started her own consulting firm–Business Improvement Consulting Services Inc.—over 20 years ago. BICS has specialized in making project teams and projects successful by streamlining PM practices and having highly effective project teams.

Finally, Annie is passionate about collaboration and has become an evangelist for Miro – the online collaboration product at the forefront of making meetings, projects, and learning truly effective in the remote world. With this passion, she is a MiroX volunteer and participates in planning, facilitating, and providing expertise in the PM community. She is also a member of the Miro Expert Directory.
