This position is a Senior Project Manager within the ERP Division which serves as the PMO Manager over the team of project managers that provide IT Project Management support to the enterprise wide State of Tennessee’s ERP system, in addition to IT Project Management to the Departments of Finance and Administration, General Services and Human Resources.

Job Overview
As a PMO Manager in this Division, this position governs the methodology and quality of the portfolio of projects in addition to personally managing projects of high complexity or visibility while guiding the team in the implementation of the numerous projects that are implemented each year. This role also takes primary responsibility of governing our Planview (PPM Tool) and serves as the primary Information Systems Contingency Planner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction for the methodology and quality of the Portfolio of Projects within our domain.
  • Ensure quality of data within our PPM tool/Planview with appropriate project data, application data, Disaster Recovery data and PM assignments.
  • Provide support to and escalation of any projects with issues within the Portfolio.
  • Provide oversight of all Disaster Recovery planning tasks for the domain.
  • Personally manage high complexity and/or high-profile large projects within the domain.
  • Manage a team of Project Managers within the PMO.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree, and six years of professional level experience in any one of the following areas:
    • systematic analysis of overall work processes for business or information systems; or
    • project management; one of the six years must include being a leading team member of a project, project management or portfolio management.

    • project management; one of the six years must include leading a team of project managers, project management or portfolio management &
    • experience using a PPM tool.
