Description

The Director of Technology & Operations role offers a unique opportunity to build and apply project management and technical skills while supporting the PMI Nashville Chapter’s digital presence. Reporting to the VP of Technology, I see that this volunteer position is ideal for a good-standing chapter member eager to grow professionally while making meaningful contributions to the chapter’s website and online services. The role requires a flexible time commitment of 5–10 hours per month and provides valuable networking, leadership experience, and career-enhancing achievements.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the VP of Technology to manage the chapter website (www.pminashville.org), ensuring it remains up-to-date, visually appealing, and functional.
  • Add and maintain website content, including pages, events, news, and job postings.
  • Support website-related needs and requests from Chapter Leadership.
  • Partner with the Communications and Social Media teams to enhance user experience and ensure consistent platform branding.
  • Maintain and update website support documentation.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement basic updates as needed.


Business Skills

  • Experience in information technology or website management
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS)
  • Comfort with application maintenance and systems integration
  • Basic understanding of PHP and HTML (preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience collaborating across departments or teams
  • Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies or practices
